sea mountain

Chapter 1: The View From Above

The Ruler Of Perpetual Day sat in his ship-capital in its permanent achorage at the top of the sea mountain. He was in the crows nest, which if it were not for its triply fired windows would already be leaking the little atmosphere it had into the blackness of space. From here, he was high enough to see the curvature of his home planet Janos, and even make out the encroachments of the margins of night. Mostly though, his attention was drawn nearer, to the costal lands at the base of the sea mountain.
