The type is bold and distinct, IBM Selectric. In several places, words have been redacted with the use of an x-acto knife.

Jordan couldn’t think. The pounding in his brain was an oppressive cacophony of pain, his limbs felt alien, his body- detached and confused. He had stumbled up the dingy stairwell, dazed, and unsteady into Diego’s nightclub. He could barely see in the dim, smoky light. His senses were assaulted by the sound of heavy bass music thumping while five naked girls gyrated on stage. He had to get out of here.

Origins of Shame

This is a coming of middle-age story about a superhero involved a Midwestern branch of the Justice League, which was really a training ground/high school for “Metropolitan” heroes-proper. If the story sounds familiar, Your thinking of Disney’s “Sky High”. A lot of that movie was pretty much exactly what I created 15 years prior. That happens sometimes. I sat down with the task in mind of recreating our favorite hero from that JL Midwest Mythos.That’s this piece.
