RSS Feeds from Elsewhere

Paul B. Hartzog's picture

We have added a page with RSS Feeds from people worth listening to who discuss both science fiction and the future of publishing. That's right, we tried it with books, and now we're trying it with people. :-D

In keeping with the open mode around here, the RSS feeds administration page (http://www.oort-cloud.org/?q=admin/content/aggregator) is editable by registered members. This means the commuinity is responsible for adding and deleting feeds.

The upshot of all this is:

1. It is not a location for "my favorite plush toy" (unless, of course, it is Cthulhu).

2. If you add/delete something, other people also have the right to do the same, so think about what the rest of the community might be interested in when you change the feeds page.

Why are we doing it this way? Because all of us together are more likely to find cool stuff out there than just Rick and I alone. As Howard Rheingold is fond of saying, "All of us is smarter than any of us."

This should be both self-organizing, fun, and enlightening. As usual, if there are any problems, please contact us so we can fix them.
